The Food Company was founded in 2011, and has its roots in the early 1900s when ‘Aunt Giulia’ was already trading pigs in our green Umbrian areas as a family-run pig breeding ‘company’. Today, we, members of the Giulivi family as its worthy third-generation descendants, continue to breed pigs with our own herds, taking care of both the pig trade, from slaughtering to the finished product (cured meats, porchetta, etc.). Today, ‘Giulia's’ grandchildren, always faithful to their history, continue and adapt for the needs of the increasingly global modern market the path undertaken by their family, with recipes that respect tradition and animal welfare as they have been taught and handed down.

Food Company Ltd. is a company that breeds pig, trades in fresh meat and processes cured meats. The company is significantly increasing its pig fattening activity in several areas of central Italy. Food Company Ltd. is developing adjistments agreements on farms in the surrounding areas, to halve the transport costs which currently have an absolutely significant impact on the cost of our business. The choice of Food Company Ltd is meant to increase the distribution market upholidng those business who have exited the market. These growth choices have led the company to review some corporate strategies, paying particular attention to logistics. The company management has decided to open new development sectors that guarantee a significant increase in the operating margin without impacting on the increase in the company's general expenses. The pigs are all raised and slaughtered in Italy. We have also started to market fine Chianina I.G.P. beef. To meet the needs of Muslim countries we also have the possibility of Halal slaughter. As far as Chianina cattle are concerned, we have established a collaboration with a large Umbria breeder, who guarantees us control of the state of the animals and their nutrition, in order to have a high quality product. Within Food Company Ltd., a specific distribution line has been created for the export of finished products intended for the reseller market to Asian markets. A participation with companies that work in the distribution market in the tourist accommodation sector, hotels and starred restaurants, with finished products such as hams and cured meats is upcoming. Thanks to the characteristics of our products and their traceability, the company is increasing exports to European and Asian countries where up to now it has found a large and profitable response.
